Northwest Knox Business and Professional Association
(Formerly Greater Karns Business Association)
ANNOUNCING: The Greater Karns Business Association voted at its August, 2013 meeting to change its name to the Northwest Knox Business and Professional Association (or NWKBPA). The name change recognizes the fact that our geographic bounds are not limited to Karns and have not been for some time. The name is intended to reflect our inclusion of Hardin Valley, Solway, Ball Camp, the north Cedar Bluff area, and Karns. It will take some time to complete the transition. In the meanwhile, if someone continues to refer to the GKBA, that’s just part of the transition.
The mission of the Northwest Knox Business and Professional Association is to promote high-quality education, employment, service, labor, and retail establishments for the good of those living in the residential areas of Karns, Hardin Valley, Solway, Ball Camp and north Cedar Bluff.
The Northwest Knox Business and Professional Association encourages all businesses in the community to join our noon lunch meetings (and our occasional dinner meetings). The meetings occur on the second Thursday of each month at 7708 Oak Ridge Highway in the Karns Community Center Building. The dinner meetings will be March 13, June 12, September 11, and December 11.
No meeting of Northwest Knox Business and Professional Association Thursday, 02/13/2014. It’s been a hard call for the leadership team, but the agenda is too important and the weather is too iffy, and we don’t want to put you at risk just to get to the monthly meeting. If we attempt to reschedule, we will send an email and post the reschedule information here, on the home page of the web site. More likely, we will simply fall back to the March meeting. Please note that the March meeting is our first 6:00 PM meeting of 2014. Details to follow.
