Northwest Knox Business and Professional Association
(Formerly Greater Karns Business Association)
ANNOUNCING: The Greater Karns Business Association voted at its August, 2013 meeting to change its name to the Northwest Knox Business and Professional Association (or NWKBPA). The name change recognizes the fact that our geographic bounds are not limited to Karns and have not been for some time. The name is intended to reflect our inclusion of Hardin Valley, Solway, Ball Camp, the north Cedar Bluff area, and Karns. It will take some time to complete the transition. In the meanwhile, if someone continues to refer to the GKBA, that’s just part of the transition.
The mission of the Northwest Knox Business and Professional Association is to promote high-quality education, employment, service, labor, and retail establishments for the good of those living in the residential areas of Karns, Hardin Valley, Solway, Ball Camp and north Cedar Bluff.
The Northwest Knox Business and Professional Association encourages all businesses in the community to join our noon lunch meetings (and our occasional dinner meetings). The meetings occur on the second Thursday of each month at 7708 Oak Ridge Highway in the Karns Community Center Building. The dinner meetings will be June 12, September 11, and December 11.
The next regular meeting will be April 10, 2014 at noon at 7708 Oak Ridge Highway in the Karns Community Center Building. Lunch will be available on a first come first served basis.
Meet your new officers!!!!
The speaker will be Rich DeForest, the Social Farmer. Rich’s business is to help businesses understand social media and use it with best effect and greatest outcome. My words – not his. Find out why you need to know about social media to be as successful as you can be.
A dynamic new time has begun at NWKBPA. Be part of it. Invite at least one new business to attend.
