Northwest Knox Business and Professional Association
(formerly the Greater Karns Business Association — watch for the NWKBPA’s new website with updated banner, coming soon!)
The mission of the Northwest Knox Business and Professional Association is to promote high-quality education, employment, service, labor, and retail establishments for the good of those living in the residential areas of Karns, Hardin Valley, Solway, Ball Camp and north Cedar Bluff.
All businesses in the community are invited to send representatives to join our noon lunch meetings (and our occasional dinner meetings). The meetings occur on the second Thursday of each month at 7708 Oak Ridge Highway in the Karns Community Center Building. The dinner meetings will be June 12, September 11, and December 11.
The next regular meeting will be July 10, 2014 at noon at the Karns Community Center. This month’s speaker, Don Gordon, is a longtime Karns resident and businessman. Most small hometown communities like Karns have lost their Fairs but Don and so many of the residents who have been a part of the Karns Fair or have served the community in other ways for many years, help keep this hometown spirit alive. Come hear more about this long-time tradition that brings people of all ages and all walks of life together while showcasing the community’s businesses, nonprofit groups, and politicians.
Our food for the meeting will be a real treat from Brown Bag in Hardin Valley. This local restaurant is and will be a standout from the norm for years to come. The cost for food is $5 for NWKBPA members and $7 for non-members.
A dynamic new time has begun at NWKBPA. Be part of it. Invite at least one new business to attend.
